Gabler Discusses Legislation to Reign in Washington

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the House and Senate State Government committees hosted a public hearing on legislation authored by state Rep. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) that would call for a “Convention of States” that would propose amendments to the United States Constitution. These amendments would be limited to consideration of imposition of fiscal restraints on the Federal Government, limitations on its power and jurisdiction, and limitations of the terms of office for Congress and federal officials.
